Activities at the garden

• Children's Playground

  Playtime is serious business. Our first-class playground is designed especially for children, it provides them with fun, safe, and stimulating physical contact with the world around them.

• High Rope Course

  The High Rope Course is a 52 obstacle challenge course on 4 routes which has 13 obstacles on each route. Make your way through a series of platforms connected by cables, wood, and ropes.

• Canoeing

  Come ride on a canoe for fun and experience the thrill of the water. Cruise around beautiful Islands and Peninsulas which are the sanctuary for birds and their friends the Monitor Lizards.

• Canopy Walkway

  The Canopy Walkway is a 588ft long aerial walkway. It consists of 5 bridges of varying lengths and experiences. Experience the aerial view of the Gardens and its surroundings

• Events in the woodlands

  Come host your memorable events, ie. picnics, weddings, birthday parties, etc in this serene environment

• Bird Watching

  The Legon Botanical Gardens has one of the highest concentrations of nesting Yellow-billed kites in the city of Accra it offers an ideal breeding habitat for other fascinating species of birds

• Fishing

  Fishing in the Vaughan Dam is a great way to get out, clear your head and unwind. Follow our instructions, and soon you’ll be picking fish out of the water like a pro!

• Cycling

  Cycling in the Legon Botanical Garden is a unique experience. The serene atmosphere gives you the opportunity to exercise with your friends and family, away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
